Billing & Account
Managing Your Subscription
Webase offers three subscription tiers — Free, Starter, and Pro — to match your needs as they grow. You can upgrade, downgrade, or manage your subscription at any time from your account settings.
Subscription Plans
- Free — $0/month. Up to 3 apps and 30 messages per month. Perfect for trying Webase out.
- Starter — $19/month. Up to 5 apps and 150 messages per month. Great for personal projects and small businesses.
- Pro — $49/month. Up to 25 apps and 500 messages per month. Built for power users and teams.
Annual billing is available at a 20% discount on Starter and Pro plans, saving you money if you plan to use Webase long-term.
Upgrading Your Plan
Go to Subscription Settings
Navigate to your account settings and click on the Subscription section. You will see your current plan, usage statistics, and available upgrade options.
Choose a New Plan
Select the plan you would like to upgrade to. You will see a summary of what is included and the price difference. Choose between monthly or annual billing.
Confirm Payment
Complete the payment through Stripe's secure checkout. Your new plan takes effect immediately, and you are prorated for the remainder of your current billing cycle.
Downgrading Your Plan
You can downgrade to a lower tier at any time. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, so you keep access to your current plan's limits until then.
Note: If you have more apps than the lower plan allows, you will not lose any existing apps. However, you will not be able to create new ones until you are within the limit. Consider archiving apps you no longer need before downgrading.
Canceling Your Subscription
To cancel, go to your Subscription settings and click Cancel Subscription. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.
- Your apps and data are preserved — nothing is deleted when you cancel.
- You can continue using Webase on the Free plan (3 apps, 30 messages/month).
- You can reactivate your subscription at any time to regain full access.
Resuming a Canceled Subscription
If you canceled but your billing period has not ended yet, you can resume your subscription from the Subscription settings. This cancels the pending cancellation and keeps your current plan active with no interruption.
Updating Your Payment Method
To update your credit card or payment method:
- Go to your Subscription settings.
- Click Update Payment Method.
- Enter your new card details through Stripe's secure form.
- Your next billing cycle will use the updated payment method.
Subscription Status
Your subscription can be in one of these states:
- Active — Your subscription is current and all features are available.
- Trialing — You are in a trial period with full access to the plan's features.
- Past Due — A payment failed. Update your payment method to restore full access. Webase will retry the charge automatically.
- Canceled — Your subscription is set to end at the current billing period's close. You can resume before that date.
Need more messages? If you run out of messages before your billing period resets, you can purchase message top-ups instead of upgrading your plan. See Message Usage & Top-Ups for details.
